Results of a barrel firing.
These are some of the results from the barrel firing. Most of the pieces were placed in saggers.

Salt Necklace Vase
I wrapped salt encrusted lace around the neck of this vase and placed it in a saggar with used coffee grounds. The grounds give a rich black surface to the white terra sigillata.

Pinch Pot
Another rich black piece created by burying in used coffee grounds inside a metal saggar.

Horse Hair Pot
White terra sigillata pot is removed from a hot kiln and draped with horsehair creating undulating carbon black lines.
